How to Pair a Replacement Key Fob to a KTI KWR Wireless Controller
Press and hold the Pair/Reset button on the KWR receiver for 3 seconds, release it, then press either Up or Down on the new fob once. Wait 2 seconds. Done. One receiver holds up to 4 fobs. Previously paired fobs stay active when you add a new one.
What You'll Need
A replacement KTI key fob matching your KWR model (KWR-005 fobs are 2-button; KWR-006/007 fobs are 4-button β they are not interchangeable), physical access to the KWR receiver to press the Pair/Reset button, and a charged fob battery (CR2032 for most models).
Pairing a New Fob β Step by Step
- Power On the Receiver
Flip the Power On/Off switch to ON. Indicator light should blink green. If solid red or off, resolve the power issue first.
- Locate the Pair/Reset Button
Small recessed button on the front face of the KWR unit, next to the antenna ports. You may need a pen or small screwdriver to press it. Do not confuse it with the Power On/Off switch on the side.
- Hold for 3 Seconds, Then Release
Press and hold the Pair/Reset button for exactly 3 seconds. The indicator light will shift to a quick-pace blink β this is pairing mode. You have about 30 seconds to complete the next step.
- Press Up or Down on the New Fob Once
Make sure the fob's ON/OFF switch is ON. Press either Up or Down once β do not hold it.
- Wait 2 Seconds and Test
The indicator light returns to normal slow blink. Test by pressing Up β the pump should activate. If not, confirm the pump itself works via the wired pendant, then repeat the pairing procedure.
Clearing Receiver Memory

Your phone will still show the KWR in Bluetooth history but will fail to connect. You must go into phone Settings β Bluetooth β find the KWR device β "Forget This Device" (iOS) or "Unpair" (Android) before re-pairing via the BluetoothKTI app.
Pairing via BluetoothKTI App
- Download BluetoothKTI
iOS App Store or Google Play. Grant Bluetooth, Location, and Camera permissions β all three are required for pairing.
- Tap "Pair New Device" and Scan the QR Code
QR code is on the KWR unit itself, on the back of the key fob, or on the original box.
- Enter Passcode 123456
This is the universal KTI Bluetooth passcode.
- Understand Phone/Fob Switching
Only one device controls the pump at a time. To switch from phone to fob: close the app completely. To switch from fob to phone: wait 5 seconds after the last fob button press, then open the app.
