Brakes & Hubs
🛑 Brake Assemblies & Hubs — Get the Right One
Brake assemblies are handed — left-hand and right-hand brakes are NOT interchangeable. Order the matching pair for your axle. Common sizes for 3.5K axles: 10" × 2-1/4". For 7K axles: 12" × 2".

Buying Guide · Measure First
Measure these two things before ordering
- Brake size: drum inner diameter × shoe width — 7×1¼" (2K axles), 10×2¼" (3.5K), 12×2" (5.2–7K). It's cast into most backing plates.
- Bolt pattern: count the studs, then measure center-to-center (5 on 4½" and 5 on 5" are the common ones).
Brakes grabbing, dragging, or dead on one side? The brake magnet diagnosis guide and adjustment guide solve most of it without parts. Full component map: axle anatomy guide.
