🪨 Trailer Leaf Springs — Replace in Pairs

Never replace just one leaf spring. A new spring is taller than a worn one — one-side replacement causes lean. Replace both springs on an axle (or all four on a tandem) at the same time.

Two common styles:

  • Double-eye — closed loop on both ends, rides between front and rear hangers
  • Slipper — one closed eye, one open slider, common on tandem axles

Buying Guide · Measure First

Measure your spring before ordering

Six measurements identify any leaf spring — eye-to-eye length (measure along the arc, not the chord), leaf count, width, eye type (double-eye vs slipper), and capacity. The spring measuring guide has a printable worksheet; the identification guide covers double-eye vs slipper and why bushings fail first.
