Fasten wood decking straight to a steel or aluminum trailer frame in a single pass — no pilot holes, no stripped boards, no gaps. This #12-14 x 2-1/2" self-drilling reamer screw does three jobs at once: it reams a clean hole through the wood, drills its own hole through the steel, and pulls the board down tight.

The key is the pair of reamer wings just above the tip. They bore the wood slightly oversized so the threads can't grab and “jack” the board upward — then the wings snap off the instant they hit steel, letting the #3 self-drilling point cut through frame up to 3/16" thick. The result is a flush, rattle-free deck that stays tight under load.

Zinc plating adds everyday corrosion resistance for trailer decks, flatbeds, and outdoor builds.
