Drive out the existing pins with a 5/32" punch, lift out the old handle and spring, drop in the new components, and reinstall the pins. Typical job time is under 15 minutes with a punch, hammer, and 5/32" hex wrench. Full step-by-step videos for this repair are widely available online.

⚠️ Verify Ball Size Before Ordering

This kit fits 2-5/16" Demco couplers only. If your coupler is stamped 2", you need part 6109 instead. The ball size is marked on top of the coupler near the latch.
