If the circuit isn’t responding, verify the coil energizes (magnetic pull at the stem) when the remote button is pressed — a non-energizing coil is a common failure mode in the KTI troubleshooting matrix.
- Check the manifold cavity for burrs/shavings before installing.
- Lubricate every O-ring and back-up ring with hydraulic fluid — never grease, motor oil, or WD-40 (additive incompatibility causes valve failure).
- Directional valve LSV2-08-4CO: 7/8" deep socket. Load-holding valve LSPC-080-4-00: 15/16" deep socket.
- Hand-tighten, then torque the cartridge to 18 ft-lbs maximum — over-torquing damages the assembly.
- Safety: disconnect the remote pendant first; never work on a hot or pressurized system.
